Synopsis:
This is a non-technical session looking at the challenges posed by implementing a data warehousing / business intelligence solution. Implementing data warehousing and business intelligence solutions are exciting. They’re exiting because of the value they bring to the business, the challenges they have, the technologies they use and the results success brings. But, they bring unique challenges. We will look at what a BI solution is, how it is different to other projects, the stages and deliverables and some of the factors that need to be identified and resolved for a successful outcome.

Bio:
Ian Meade has been working with SQL Server since 2001 and with a database / application developer for even longer. Lots of experience designing and implementing DB solutions as well as fixing sick solutions. Holder of MCM SQL Server 2008, MCSD.NET and other certifications.
