Synopsis:

Are your databases becoming unwieldy? Are your backups starting to exceed your backup window? Are you no longer able to rebuild all your indexes every night? Have you thrown in the towel on integrity checks? Are your SQL maintenance plans no longer working for you?

Brian Carrig will provide some practical advice on managing VLDBs with SQL server, focusing on common problem areas for new and experienced DBAs alike such as index maintenance, integrity checks and backups. The session will also touch on performance, scaling, partitioning and compression.

Brian Carrig is a Microsoft Certified Master of SQL Server and Senior DBA at leading e-commerce cloud solutions provider ChannelAdvisor. He helps manage over 60TB of SQL data across hundreds of SQL instances and thousands of databases ranging up to 8TB in size.
